Every day that I research the voiceover industry, I am amazed at the amount of information that is available about this fascinating business! There is no substitute for advice from the experts as they have gone before and have forged the trail, if you will. One such expert is Steve Pumphrey.
I just met Steve today via Facebook, particularly a post that he did in Facebook (read it by clicking here), that gave me chills because I was looking exactly for something like this. It is a comprehensive list of resources for anyone who is interested in getting started in the voiceover business, from links to legal info to where to find work, from where to get training to how to build a home studio. It is all contained in this one post!
I am amazed at the generosity of those that do voiceover work. So many of them have spend countless hours giving back to those who aspire to make it in this business. For those of you who are new to voiceover, you have entered into a world that is both rewarding and profitable — a rare combination, to be sure — but like any venture, it takes a lot of work and discipline to master it. I am still in the apprentice stage, but I am eager to make this work!
